We all came to the city from different places, at different times and for different reasons. But we all shared a childhood where our neighborhoods played important roles in our lives. We knew our neighbors – their names and what they did. We helped one another and knew who we could depend on. Whether it was someone to baby-sit for us, help us organize a yard sale, a block party, or just hold an extra set of keys, we knew who to go to. As much as we love our lives here, we miss that sense of community and belonging we once had.

It's unfortunate that today it seems to take some kind of tragedy – the loss of a home, a medical crisis or a financial struggle – for us to realize the potential we have to help one another in our own neighborhoods. As technology takes us global from the comfort of our own homes, it seems we've unplugged from our local communities and forgotten about the real power that resides next door, across the street, around the block… It's time we plugged in to the power of our neighborhoods again.

Our mission is to harness the very technology that’s isolated us and use it to tap into the power of our neighborhoods – whether it’s to make some extra money, to support a cause, or simply to get to know one another a little better and have some fun doing it. You can better your lives and strengthen your neighborhoods and we can help.
